Roasted Chickpeas - Easy snack Idea

I always get asked for snack ideas, so here is a recipe for one of my favourites.

These roasted chickpeas are really tasty, filling and super easy to whip up!

Bonus: they're suitable for everyone- vegan, gluten free, dairy free!

Ingredients: 1 can chickpeas, drained 1 tbsp maple syrup 1/2 tbsp oil Spices optional: paprika, chili, cumin, coriander. Salt & pepper to taste.

Method:

  • Preheat oven to 200 or 180 fan.

  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until the chickpeas are well coated.

  • Tip them in to a baking tray and place in the centre of the oven.

  • Cook for around 30 minutes, until crispy.

  • Leave to cool, then store in an airtight container or eat!

Notes:

Add any flavour you like- spice them up with chili, add herbs or even add more maple syrup and make them sweet if you want.

Keep them in the oven for up to 45 minutes, depending how crispy you like them.

Great snack for school or work, or with a tipple when you have friends and family around over. Also perfect with hummus and pitta bread!

Enjoy!

Grilled homemade nachos. Yes, grilled! It sounds wrong, but I promise it works and these come out lovely and crisp in a matter of minutes. I love making this as a snack for watching a movie or a match
